💎King of gems formed at depths of over 120km. Since the 1950s and De beers' "a diamond is forever" marketing stunt, it has become the must-have gemstone.
✨Colorless when composed solely of carbon, certain elements can infiltrate its structure and alter its color: impurities. For example, nitrogen N ➡️ yellow and boron ➡️ blue. Other causes of color include natural irradiation of the ground ➡️ green, or plastic deformation of the crystal lattice ➡️ brown, pink or red.
