She fell in love with gems and jewellery when she discovered Van Cleef & Arpels' vitrine as a child. Initially heading in the direction of Earth Sciences before returning to the poetry of jewellery, Lucille today divides her professional life between research in mineral exploration and jewellery making.
About
Imagined in 2020, and founded in 2023, the company aims to marry a deep passion for earth science, the art of gemmology, and the craft of jewellery.
With a resolute commitment to excellence and ethical practices, Lucille invites you to explore a universe where mineralogical mastery is combined with exquisite jewellery.
Her scientific quest took her from the Mediterranean (University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France) to the Indian Ocean (University of La Réunion, overseas France), then from the Nordic Scandinavian lands (Lund University, Sweden) to those of Quebec (University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada). This initiatory journey, crowned by obtaining a Ph.D in Earth Sciences, led her to specialize in mineralogy and geochemistry.
In Montreal, Lucille discovered the world of gemmology and was awarded in 2017 the internationally recognized title of Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great. She taught at the Montreal School of Gemmology for several years, sharing her knowledge and passion for mineralogy and crystallography with the next generation of gemmologist.
After years of jewelry design and her diploma in Jewelry History, Lucille took a new step by embracing the art of jewelry by training at the Academy of Art Metals in Montreal.
